United Way for Greater Austin                                     
Sr. Director of Philanthropy - Individual Giving, September 2021 - Present

  • Lead and execute fundraising strategy for individual philanthropy and fundraising events, donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship with a goal of growing major and leadership-level gift support for the Community Campaign, totaling $1.5 million annually.  

  • Collaborate on the strategic growth of the resource development department, serving in a leadership capacity for a 19-person team stewarding more than $6 million annually. 

  • Engage CEO, CDO, Board and volunteer leaders as partners in developing relationships with prospective donors and growing philanthropic support from the Greater Austin community at large. 

  • Lead donor cultivation, fundraising and stewardship for over 1,000 individual donors contributing $1,000 or more annually through United Way’s Workplace Campaigns, Community Campaign, and across donor affinity groups including Tocqueville United, Women United and Emerging Leaders.

Texas Cultural Trust            
Director of Development, October 2020 - September 2021

  • Managed all contributed revenue for the Trust’s operations and programming, totaling $1.4 million annually. Responsible for planning, execution and reporting for all development campaigns including major events, individual giving, annual membership, grants and special projects.

  • Created and implemented comprehensive development plans to maintain and expand sources of funding for each of the Trust’s diverse programs. 

  • Led and executed donor cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events across the state including the Texas Medal of Arts Awards, Texas Young Masters, and Texas Women for the Arts membership events and travel experiences. 

  • Managed public, private and government funding applications and corporate sponsor proposals including prospect research, writing, reporting and stewardship of grants and sponsorships. 

  • Managed all development record keeping and prospect research within Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database. 

ZACH Theatre 
Associate Director of Development, January 2018 - October 2020
Development Events and Projects Manager, September 2015 - January 2018

  • Led and executed all of ZACH’s fundraising events, donor cultivation and stewardship events, and Artistic Innovation campaign. Provided leadership for and served as key liaison between board/committees, internal departments, and external vendors to execute events and projects while maintaining income and expense goals. 

  • Managed all contributed income for fundraising events totaling $1.1 million annually and led development of 3-year Artistic Innovation Campaign totaling $1.8 million cumulatively. Plus, additional individual and corporate annual fund gifts. Managed maintenance and growth of donor relationships, benefit fulfillment, gift processing, and prospect research for fundraising events and the campaign. 

  • Collaborated on the strategic growth of the development department, identifying new projects and opportunities to impact and enhance contributed income at ZACH. Served in a leadership capacity for departmental operations of a six-person team stewarding $3.4 million annually. Developed and tracked annual budget revenue and expense projections for the department. 

  • Served as designated staff member to manage development communications plans and marketing collateral in collaboration with the marketing department. Created and maintained print and digital marketing collateral including programs, invitations, website, graphics, advertisements, pledge forms, letters and emails.

  • Served as the development departments “power-user” for the organization's Tessitura CRM database. Managed all development functionality within the database and collaborated on the strategic growth of reporting and analytics within the software. 

The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas 
Event Director, June 2012 - August 2015

  • Developed and produced all aspects of foundation events including large-scale wine and food tastings, wine auctions, educational wine tastings, food and wine competitions and fine wine dinners while driving income and maintaining expense goals. Provided leadership for and served as key liaison between board/committees, community partners, and external vendors to execute events and projects while maintaining income and expense goals. 

  • Managed contributed and earned income exceeding $600K annually. Developed and implemented fundraising efforts around Foundation membership, fundraising events, community partnerships, and volunteer programs. 

  • Managed communications and marketing for the Foundation’s events and member programming: maintain and update website, develop print collateral, conducted email marketing, wrote digital newsletter, and maintained social media accounts.
